This cap has a very large crown coupled with a slanting grip tear of head, to give a snug, firm fit.
The end result is a cap which comes over the ears and down over the eyes.

This hat is modelled on an old Irish working hat.
This style was seen in the countryside at the turn of the century. Mainly used as a bog hat or heavy weather covering.
It’s so designed that it can be pulled down over the head for greater protection.
Shauna Kennedy designed this hat as a walking or sporting head covering.
It is of 14oz tweed light to medium, with a floppy brim and an inch and a half banding all round.
It has a loop to the band for a hackle or other sporting decoration. The crown of the hat is a separate section. The lining is of top quality and banded.
It is of light green moss in colour. It has dark green and russet red and burgundy stripes.
